Letter was sexist in nature

Cris Rariden (Oct. 11) encourages readers to "Vote for Women" exclusively. She generalizes that all men who think Dr. Blasey Ford's drunken memories are insufficient to ruin a career are "most likely perpetrators of sexual assault," that women have experienced sexual assault on a "universal basis," and that any woman who says otherwise is a hiding the truth.

This is precisely the kind of sexism our nation must avoid. Like the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., I suggest we vote based on the content of a candidate's character and how well the individual represents us -- and not on the basis of their race or gender. Based on the character of the Democratic and Republican Parties, perhaps we should vote for third parties only!
